EPS structure analysis

A power steering system that relies directly on the motor to provide auxiliary torque. As it does not use engine power, fuel saving is achieved compared to hydraulic type.

Column shaft EPS is the installation of the ECU or motor in the carriage, thus ensuring water repellency and not being affected by the heat of the engine.
However, the auxiliary mechanism is relatively close to the steering wheel, so the European cars which pay more attention to the steering or sound and impact safety structures are less used.
